This is one of the most important books ever written on Italian Renaissance Art. Designed and published by the same publisher in the same style as its counterpart 'History of Art’, by Janson. Book was well used by a student in 1977, thus there are a number of pages with pencil marks (that can be erased). One page has a four word note in blue ink. One map of Italy has a six yellow highlights. The binding in the spine has become loose in one section of the book (see image) but this can be back quite easily fixed with glue or left as is. 2.6 Kg, 30x23x5cm
