Essays in Modern Thought (Edited by Thomas R. Cook)
Essays in Modern Thought (Edited by Thomas R. Cook)
A wonderful, rare Canadian book. What really makes this book is its awesome Bauhaus design. Published in 1935, this is a sought after collectible, not just by book collectors, but also by designers and architects for its style. It fits well with the title ‘Modern’ and the modernist movement of the 1930s. Condition: Used, but solid and in good condition with no structural damage. Hard cover, cloth bound. The pages are clean although there are a few words here and there that are underlined, and are mostly on the first page of the essay 'Real People' and the last essay 'Prelude: May 1919' (see images 6 & 7) . Most of the pages are unmarked. The content is excellent with great essays from A.A.Milne, Huxley, and Joseph Conrad to name a few. Author/Editor: Thomas R. Cook Publisher: First edition, 1935.
